Your child's progress
From now on your baby sits up well. He moves around on all fours and holds himself upright by taking support from furniture and starts to walk.
He adores making a noise with objects, recognises his preferred toys and adores throwing them.
He starts to say his first 2 syllable words. He imitates your expressions and gestures.
At 8 months, he becomes aware that he is a different being to his mother and this is characterised by a feeling of anxiety.
